14 January 2017

Friday the 13th passed unnoticed, and that's a good thing.

The weather apocalypse predicted for today is just that, a prediction. All we have is wet streets and no freezing rain, sleet or snow was in sight this morning. So if you're huddling in fear, fear not. We're here knitting and waiting to help you.

Lyn is finishing up the Gingersnap baby sweater using Jagger Spun Super Lamb. It's a quick knit and uses several colors of yarn. That makes the sweater fun to knit and allow you to show your creativity. You can see the sweater here on Ravelry. Simple and fun to knit!

When you stop by I can show you the progress that I've made on the Agate Ripples cardigan designed by Prism Arts. The cardigan is knit using Merino Mia, a wonderfully soft hand-dyed merino wool. The color change sequence assures that every sweater will be different. It is fun to knit and hard to stop because you want to see how the next color works into the design. Here's the design that appeared in Knitter's.

I'm knitting a different colorway than is shown in the magazine. The colorway chosen for the shop sample is called Dark Autumn and has the feel of a forest of fall leaves in full color.

7 January 2017

Wow! Happy New Year.

We're not getting too much knitting done right now - inventory time.

If you're thinking about coming out the roads are all clear and dry. Little flurries but not any serious snow. Come on down.

You can see Lyn's progress knitting the Ombre Tunic that will be a Knit-A-Long.
