This scarf is much more fun than I imagined. It's call ZickZack by Christy Kamm and uses fingering weight yarn. The original used two balls of yarn used every two rows. The yarn was somewhat of a long period striping yarn.
Being me, and never doing anything simply, I chose three yarns. It's an interesting technique to knit with three yarns and alternate every row.
The colors at first were disappointing. As knitting progressed I started to get the effect that I wanted. The varying colors with the intermittent light and dark are "in the style of a great Italian designer".
