We had a great Sit and Knit on July 5. Lots of knitters and lots of conversation. It was nice to see all that came. A good time was had by all.

Good news, the Sunoco gas station is now serving Thai food, and it's good. They start serving at 10:30 AM Monday through Saturday. For the time being it is take-out only. We have a menu at the shop for your perusal.

New items have been placed on sale including Hiya-Hiya needle sets and Bryson needle sets.

All quantities are limited so don't be disappointed if an item is no longer. Sale items wait for no knitter.

Just a note that folks seemed to have had a great time at the sit and knit. It was waaaaay too hot outside so we filled the chairs in the shop with knitters. There were plenty of good things to eat and ice tea to help keep cool.

Thank you to all who came. I had a great time talking with you and seeing your projects.

DON'T FORGET! This Saturday and Sunday are Sit and Knit days at the shop.  I will have plenty of iced tea and cookies for munching. There will  be fans on the  porch so unless it is blisteringly hot, the porch will be nice.

Today is the start of my Anniversary Sale. Each week there are several items marked down. And, each week these items change. Stop by and see what will tempt you.

I can say that Friday's storm was an interesting experience. The shop lost power for two days and I still have no power at home as of this morning. We suffered no damage at the house or at the shop. In fact the storm didn't seem to be that bad at the house. The phone/data lines at the house have been down since Friday too, but this morning on the way to the shop there were several crews trying to remove the 24" diameter tree that took down the phone line.

A generator at home keeps  the vital systems going except for AC. It hasn't been that bad. The house has only gotten up to 85 degrees. Survivable with fans and lots of cool things to drink with plenty of ice.

Don't forget the sit-and-knit this Saturday and Sunday at the shop. Cookies and iced tea will be available to all who come. This is a great way to meet new knitters and needlepointers and just have a relaxing day. (Also a great day to get away from the chaos at home!) No beltway traffic out here.

Today is the first day of my July Anniversary Sale. Items change every week so you need to come at least every week to see what new has been placed on sale. Items are up to 50% off. A great way to stock up for Fall and Winter projects.

And to make matters worse, new yarns and needlepoint are arriving all the time!

So many decisions, and all weekend to make them.
