Maryland Sheep and Wool was a blast and there were a couple of items that were just a hit!

The Kauni Luverne Cardigan:

This is knit with two colors of Kauni, one Effekt and one solid. It buttons just at the top and is knit in one piece. No seaming! And, it's very flattering.

The other hot item was Laura Bryant's newest Impressionist Jacket:

This is a swing jacket that will make anyone look gorgeous, and because it is a swing jacket flatters the figure. It is knit out of Delicato and feels so smooth and has a wonderful drape. This comes as a kit but because we have a large consignment of Delicato so you can make your own color combination.

Now that the Dotted Rays shawl is finished I'm back to a project that has been resting.

Ikat is an interesting dyeing technique that lends itself to knitting and weaving. For this Reversible Wrap the designed by Laura Bryant the challenge is the start. If you don't get the cast-on correct the design takes several rows to work into the color changing pattern that meshes with the stitching pattern.

It's fun to knit with Prism's Valhalla yarn. This is a 100% fine merino wool that is sooo soft. It is hard to put down and I've been itching (not because of the yarn mind you) to get back to the project.

Here's another hit from the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Laura Bryant's Chevron Tee can be knit with one or two strands of Delicato or you can knit it with either lace or sport weight linen. The model is hanging in the shop right now.

This pattern is written for a large number of sizes and can be worn as a sheer overblouse that is very drapable or knitted with the heaver combination is more opaque and has more body. The pattern has a cap or short sleeve option.

This is a timeless design and just right right for summer. For the moment we have a large selection of both of the yarns required for this pattern.

I'm glad I came into the store today because our UPS driver delivered the two newest colors of Stuff from Prism Arts.

Laura has out done herself. The first is Maui (Cool Stuff) and I'm not even going to try to describe the color. Cool Stuff contains no yarns made from wool, alpaca, mohair, etc. and knits at 4.5 sts/inch.

The other color is Coral Reef (Light Stuff). Light Stuff is thinner that the other "Stuffs". It too contains no hair and knits at 5 sts/inch.

I don't think that your computer screen will ever do her yarns justice. When you have time, stop by and ask to see the new colors.

I don't know if I will be at the shop tomorrow. It depends if I can get out of our road. Call the shop. The message will let you know if I am here. I will try to be here on Sunday for sure.
