We've been knitting up a storm trying to get more models finished for you to see. When they're on a needle and scrunched up they just don't look as nice and a finished, blocked piece of knitting.

We just got in a new yarn/kit from Trendsetter. This is an elegant wrap called Zig Zag Wrap and uses neutral colors of Lana Grossa Cool Wool. This wrap is easy to knit and will go with anything in your wardrobe.

I started knitting the Teeter Totter Shawl to see how it is formed. From the picture it was hard to see how they were working the colors. I have to say, it is interesting to knit and the start of the wrap it clever. To remind you, here's what it looks like.

Using Berroco Ultra Alpaca, this is going to be fun to knit.

Some of the new fall products have started to arrive. The first is a quick to knit shawl that changes colors and 'marls' all in one ball of yarn. This is Transitions by Trendsetter Yarns.

Here are the colors:

And here is the free pattern:

This can be knit with a flat or pointed bottom, or if you choose just a a stole.

The Porch Party is fast approaching. Mark your calendars for Sept 19! It's going to be fun!

The good news is that the Front Porch has finally opened. They serve breakfast all day and open at 10 am. They're still working out the kinks but the food is great (so say the reviewer/knitters).

New yarns are arriving. We just received Trendsetter's Firefly yarn. This is a soft alpaca/wool blended chained yarn that is very soft and has just a bit of sparkle. We're going to be knitting a Cape and Loop from Lana Grossa's newest Look Book for fall/winter.

For those of who loved working with Lana Grossa's Lace Lux, it's back. There are great patterns on Ravelry but what comes to mind is the Vitamin D sweater. It would be gorgeous in this yarn.

We've got a great idea of what can be knitted with Kauni Effekt yarn. If you want a sweater with vertical stripes this sweater/pattern could be for you. When you stop by, just ask us.

I know that it is still cold outside but you need to start thinking about Spring and Summer and the shop just got in the ideal yarn.

Trendsetter Yarns has revived an old favorite Cin-Cin. This yarn is a viscose and cotton blend that is multi-colored and slubbed. It would be great for a tank top or a tee. Heck, it would make a wonderful simple shoulder wrap for the refrigerated restaurants in the summer. The yarn will do all the work just knit every row for the wrap - a quick simple and stylish project.

These are just two of the colors that arrived. We're knitting a tee so when you stop by ask to see what the yarn looks like knitted. We're proud to show our work.
