I'm still plugging along, as time allows, on the sweater that I'm knitting for my brother. The pattern looks difficult but really isn't if you've ever knitted a cable.
Now that I've corrected the chart that Berroco made for Nora Gaughan's pattern it is much easier to knit and follow the pattern. I will say the hardest part of knitting this sweater is maintaining the stitch pattern while decreasing or increasing the stitches.
I've finished the back and the arm scye wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I just followed the recommended decreases figuring if I follow the decreases for the arm cap they will match. So here goes ......
I will warn that the length of the sleeve recommended in the pattern will be too long. Just look up any sleeve length in a similar pattern. I will be working to 17" and in order to have the correct number of stitches I'm increasing each side every right side row.
If anyone is interested in knitting this pattern you are welcome to a copy of my modified chart, but you need to come to the shop to get it.
Questions about the sweater or my sanity, stop by and ask questions.
This sweater is being knit from coned JaggerSpun Heathers, color Smoke. The yarn gauge is 6 sts/inch. My gauge, over pattern, is 9.2 sts/inch. It will take more than one cone for a man's 42". It's so nice to knit with not having to worry about running out of yarn in the middle of a row.

Still knitting as fast as we can making new models for the shop.
Just got in a new Berroco yarn: Noble. It's super soft and it super bulky. This knits on a US 17 and we have a great pattern that uses two balls for a fluffy and warm cowl. This is a quick to knit for those cold blustery day ahead.
Just a side note for those of you who like knitting the beaded Christmas ornaments. This will probably be the last year that I can get those kits. If you're interested in making more for your tree or for gifts you should hurry in soon.
I can't guarantee availability of color combinations.

We've been knitting up a storm trying to get more models finished for you to see. When they're on a needle and scrunched up they just don't look as nice and a finished, blocked piece of knitting.
We just got in a new yarn/kit from Trendsetter. This is an elegant wrap called Zig Zag Wrap and uses neutral colors of Lana Grossa Cool Wool. This wrap is easy to knit and will go with anything in your wardrobe.
I started knitting the Teeter Totter Shawl to see how it is formed. From the picture it was hard to see how they were working the colors. I have to say, it is interesting to knit and the start of the wrap it clever. To remind you, here's what it looks like.
Using Berroco Ultra Alpaca, this is going to be fun to knit.

New yarn arrived today!
We have Berroco's Brio. Each brilliantly dyed colorway of this thick and thin wool blend is infused with glittering metallic strands that are completely soft to the touch.
This is a super bulky yarn that knits at 2.5 stitches to the inch. Great for hats, and scarves. This will add a bit of pizazz to a gloomy winter day.
